These Terms of Service govern your use of the Start Story Helper website and your purchase of products from START STORY HELPER INC.
By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
Personalized Products
Start Story Helper creates personalized books based on information submitted by the customer.
You are responsible for reviewing all personalization details before placing your order, including names, spelling, photographs, character selections, dedication messages, and other customized content.
We are not responsible for errors contained in information submitted by the customer.
Customer-Provided Content
By submitting names, photographs, text, or other content for use in a personalized product, you confirm that you have the right and authority to provide and use that content for this purpose.
You grant us permission to use the submitted content as reasonably necessary to create, produce, fulfill, and provide customer support for your order.
Orders and Production
Personalized products may enter production shortly after an order is placed.
If you need to change or cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible. We will make reasonable efforts to help, but changes or cancellations cannot be guaranteed once production has begun.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where necessary, including where we cannot reasonably produce the requested personalization, where the order violates applicable law, or where there has been an obvious pricing or technical error.
Product Appearance
We make reasonable efforts to display our products accurately.
However, colors and appearance may vary slightly between digital previews, screens, printing processes, materials, and finished physical products.
Minor variations that are inherent to printing and production are not necessarily considered defects.
Pricing and Payment
Prices displayed on our website are shown in the applicable currency presented during your shopping experience.
Applicable shipping charges, taxes, and other charges will be displayed where required before you complete your purchase.
Payment must be successfully authorized before an order can be processed.
Shipping and Delivery
Production and delivery estimates are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates unless expressly stated otherwise.
Delivery may be affected by carrier delays, customs, weather, incorrect address information, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Returns and Refunds
Because our products are personalized and made specifically for each recipient, they are generally not eligible for change-of-mind returns.
However, orders placed on or before December 31, 2026 are eligible for our temporary Extended 30-Day Return Promise, subject to the conditions stated in our Return and Refund Policy.
Under this temporary offer, an eligible customer may request a return within 30 days of delivery. The physical product must be returned and received before the applicable refund is issued.
The temporary offer does not limit any statutory consumer rights that may apply.

Damaged or Incorrect Products
If a product arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or does not match the personalization submitted by you because of an error on our part, please contact us promptly.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, we may provide a replacement, refund, or other appropriate remedy.
Intellectual Property
The website, book designs, illustrations, stories, text, graphics, branding, and other content owned by Start Story Helper are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Purchasing a personalized book does not transfer ownership of our underlying artwork, designs, stories, layouts, or other intellectual property.
Personal Use
Products purchased from Start Story Helper are intended for personal use unless we have expressly agreed otherwise.
Our content and products may not be reproduced, copied, resold, commercially distributed, or used to create derivative commercial products without authorization.
Website Availability
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue portions of our website or services where reasonably necessary.
We do not guarantee that the website will always be available without interruption or error.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited in the customer's jurisdiction.
